What ELSE (Explore Learn Share Etc.) Wednesday
Did I really think summer would slow things down? Driving the kids from their morning activity straight to afternoon swim lessons is wearing me out! Hopefully our relaxing summer will truly begin this weekend. In the meantime ...
I'm exploring simple ways to create fun experiences with my daughters, ages 8 and 11-1/2, before middle school infuses Lauren with all-grown-upness. Yesterday after swim lessons we spent some time at a playground we discovered while exploring a different route home from swimming.
I'm learning and practicing how to live in the moment, how to let go of the mess in my house that's being created as we're constantly on-the-go and as we empty our basement in preparation for repairs.
I'm sharing my praise for the book Lift by Kelly Corrigan. Writing from the heart, Corrigan deftly puts into words deep and difficult-to-explain feelings about parenting and life.
(Etc.): Last night we took a family poll. Two of us wink with our left eyes, and the other two of us wink with our right eyes. Are you a right eye–winker or a left eye–winker?
