What ELSE (Explore Learn Share Etc.) Wednesday
What's going on in my world:
I'm exploring the Internet in search of good sources for interesting information. My current favorite is the New York Times multimedia page. (I'd love for you to share your suggestions for different sources!)
I'm learning, on multiple levels, how to let things go. (My next post will expound on this comment.)
I'm sharing this broadcast of Minneapolis hip-hop and spoken word artist Dessa, recorded at Minneapolis's intimate Cedar Cultural Center. Her performance, which begins with (my favorite) "Dixon's Girl," is interspersed with interviews by Minnesota Original and, to me, is more jazz than rap.
(Etc.): This afternoon my girls and I will head to my hometown to catch the annual carnival and parade festivities. I'm looking forward to spending time with my grandma, my dad and his wife, and my aunts and uncles. My kids plan to enjoy some carnival rides, eat ice cream and collect candy at the parade.
What ELSE? What have you been exploring or learning? What do you have to share, (etc.)? Leave a comment or send me a tweet!
