What ELSE (Explore Learn Share Etc.) Wednesday
My friends know that I'm a bah-humbug when it comes to Halloween. To me, the best thing about the end of October is that Halloween will soon be behind us. While I endure these final days of Halloween decorations, parties and costumes, this is what I'm up to:
With friends this week, I went exploring a new-to-me restaurant. On a weekend, I would probably feel really old at Pyscho Suzi's Motor Lounge, but for weeknight dinner I noticed customers the same age as my parents. Its tiki theme and kitschy menu (cheese curds and pickle roll-ups) made Suzi's a fun place to hang out.
One thing that was worth learning earlier this week: When a blog post starts to feel like junk, it's a good idea to turn off the computer and walk away. Later on, I picked up my journal to start again in longhand, and I feel much better with the resulting post, Learn: Foster Creativity in Children.
A couple weeks ago, I wrote about meditation, and it seems to be a theme that's following me like a lost puppy. Today I'm sharing this post by a meditation teacher on common misconceptions about meditation (via Christine Miller.) And here's another post debunking meditation myths.
(Etc.): This fall (here) I mentioned Karen Walrond's Path Finder Course and have often tweeted about how much I loved the course. Today is the last day to register for the final 2011 session; if you'd like to zero in on what brings you joy, I encourage you to sign up!
What ELSE? What have you been exploring or learning? What do you have to share, (etc.)? Leave a comment or send me a tweet!
