In a flash, Thanksgiving has passed and December stands ready to jump in. With one end-of-year holiday behind me, I'm forging ahead to the next. In preparation for Christmas and the forthcoming new year, I've been exploring long-arm quilting, itching to learn more about painting with acrylics and shopping on Etsy. What are you exploring, learning, sharing, etc.? Tell me here or on twitter.
My family is ready for a break from school and work. We're also looking forward to seeing my sister and her family coming to Minnesota for the long Thanksgiving weekend! In the meantime, I have continued to explore (with water-soluble pastels), learn (the telephone's value) and share (information and photos about adventure playgrounds in Germany). What are you exploring, learning and willing to share this Thanksgiving week?
This past weekend, in St. Paul, Minnesota, TEDxTC focused its event on mentors and the youth they inspire, featuring four speakers: engineering professor AnnMarie Thomas, social entrepreneur Greg Tehven, project maverick Solome Tibebu and everyday hero John Turnipseed. Overall, TEDxTC's Play, Learn, Build & Share event offered plenty of inspiration, motivation and food for thought. In this post, I share a few nuggets of wisdom I found valuable.
Later this week, my sister and her family will pile into the car and cross Nebraska and South Dakota home to Minnesota for the Thanksgiving holiday. In her honor, I hope you enjoy today's Minnesota songs: the recently released "Minneapolis" by Mark Mallman, "Skyway" from the Replacements, and, going way back, "Minnesota" from a group called Northern Light. What's on your Thanksgiving travels soundtrack?
This week my gratitude list includes paper purging productivity, two counts of generosity and warm(er) weather. What's on your list? Share your gratitude here or connect with me on twitter. I'd love to find out what you're grateful for.
