What ELSE (Explore Learn Share Etc.) Wednesday

Still scrambling to finish a handful of projects, I have managed to find time for what I love, some of which is outlined here:

Last week I mentioned a plan to do some armchair exploring via Globe Trekker. I haven't gotten to that plan yet, but Joel and I have been exploring the paranormal, watching episodes of Ghost Hunters and Ghost Adventurers. One intriguing phenomenon we saw in this episode was a "spirit" turning a flashlight on and off to communicate with a ghost hunter. Are you a believer or a skeptic?

This week my learning has happened via radio waves. Listening to this episode of American Routes the other morning, I learned that Salsa is not its own rhythm but a label that emerged in the 1970s. Click here for a link to the American Routes episode. You can read more about Salsa music at, on Wikipedia or on National Geographic's music site.

Yesterday I caught part of a 20-minute radio interview with author Chuck Klosterman, and I'm sharing it below. This morning I listened to the entire interview and scribbled down a bunch of Klosterman's stimulating ideas about the nature of interviews, nostalgia and history.

(Etc.): This week I'm still considering my blogging e-course options. Right now, this one is still at the top of my list, but I'm still open to suggestions.

What ELSE? What have you been exploring or learning? What do you have to share, (etc.)? Comment here or send me a tweet!
