What ELSE (Explore Learn Share Etc.) Wednesday

Only a few more days of overextension Fabric CKS project blue-ivoryremain until my life will settle back to normal. Soon I'll be done stitching this lovely fabric into a fun display prop for the toy store where I work part time. Through the craziness, I've still managed to notice a few new and interesting aspects in life:

This past week, I've been exploring different routes to the same daily South Minneapolis destination. (By the way, can anyone recommend a local cafe in the neighborhood of Hiawatha or Nokomis? I'd love to explore a new neighborhood eatery while I'm still working in the area later this week.)

With my current work projects, I'm learning how to let go of perfection in favor of efficiency, economy and expediency.

On Monday I posted Gotye's popular "Somebody that I Used to Know." Yesterday on its Facebook page, Our Vinyl featured this cover of the song by the Canadian band Walk off the Earth. I am impressed with their performance and their video. You can read Our Vinyl's take here.

(Etc.): The weather has been big news this January with temperatures 30 degrees above normal. I also read here that " four of the past ten warmest starts to January happened since 2000." Today our unseasonable warm weather has ended, and our brown yards will likely be blanketed in white by day's end.
