What ELSE (Explore Learn Share Etc.) Wednesday
Much of today's What ELSE entry centers on kids, from their creativity to their performances:
Since I wrote this post last fall, I have been pondering the topic of promoting creativity and innovative thinking in children. Exploring this stack of library books has been fun for my daughters and me.
Most of my learning on the topic of encouraging kids' creativity has come from just one of the books on this stack: Kids Play by Michele Cassou. Watch for a future blog post full of Cassou's great advice.
If you've been living under a rock, you probably haven't heard this song by Gotye (featuring Kimbra). Last month I posted this amazing cover of "Somebody that I Used to Know." Last night Gotye tweeted this cover by the kids of the PS22 Chorus, and I'm happy to be sharing their rendition here:
(Etc.): This afternoon, I will be in the audience of my 8-year-old's third grade music program. Usually, I hear previews of the songs for weeks in advance, but this time the performance selections will be a surprise. I look forward to seeing my pretty little girl sing and smile!
