What ELSE (Explore Learn Share Etc.) Wednesday
Here in Minnesota, spring weather rarely arrives in time for the start of the spring season. This year of unusual weather is proving to be an exception. We're looking at temperatures in the 60s and 70s (unseasonable for us) all week! I haven't been spending nearly enough time outdoors but have enjoyed driving with the windows open. Here's what I've been exploring, learning and sharing:
About a week ago, I signed up for the last bit of a free series of guided meditations here through the Chopra Center. I've enjoyed exploring a different way to practice meditation and, for the most part, have liked the meditation topics. Though it looks like registration is still open, the winter 21-Day Meditation Challenge is now over; I'll have my eye out for another series in the spring and might look into other guided meditation opportunities. (Suggestions are welcome!)
Inspired by the pretty singing in our yard, I spent a little time learning about the songbird seven states claim as their symbol: the northern cardinal. Some of the facts I discovered include the cardinal's average lifespan (15 years!) and that, unlike many other songbirds, both male and female cardinals sing.
(Etc.): Question: Do you ever experience a thought/idea/plan that feels so right, so true, so possible ... until you say it out loud? (I'm sure I'm not the only one.)
