Learn: Stop Stalling & Get Creative
52 Birds: Week 10

Share: "Friday Five" Love List

From what I see in the L+E+S archives, I haven't posted a "Friday Five" Love List since November. Reflecting today on what I'm grateful for caps off this hectic week quite well.

  • I love Lauren's French homework in which she outlines what she needs to study in order to pursue various careers. She'll plan to learn computers, Spanish and history if she's going to be an author. If she decides to be an artist, she says she'll need to study geometry and math in addition to art. And to become a teacher, Lauren's plan is to study science, math and English. I love her perspective regarding what's important to each profession.
  • Despite her resistance to resuming swim lessons, Allison had fun practicing her strokes. I loved seeing her smiling face when she would reach the end of the pool where I sat watching.
  • After we left swim lessons, I snapped this MooniPhone photo of the moon. This shot doesn't give justice to the lovely moon I saw that night, but it does remind me how much I loved the scene.
  • In the spirit of believing that chaos can lead to a breakthrough in creativity or learning, I'm choosing to love the crazy busyness that has been this past week.
  • The current issue of the Minnesota Conservation Volunteer is brimming with birds! I love the smorgasbord of images for me to sketch for my 52 Birds project. Another bird sketch will appear here in a day or two.
