Learn: What It Means to Feel Grounded
In a recent small group conversation, someone asked, "What do you mean when you say you 'feel grounded?'"
The question took me by surprise, and I realized that I take for granted that the idea of "feeling grounded" is common knowledge.
A Dictionary.com definition that resonates for me is "sensible and down-to-earth; having one's feet on the ground." Merriam-Webster's definition enriches the explanation by including the word "stable."
Feeling grounded, to me, means feeling centered:
calm, at peace, detached from worry.
Feeling grounded, to me, means feeling anchored:
on my heart's truth, my personal values, on this moment.
